Artists Wanted - Details and application: Art in August

Teddy Bear Picnic: June 13th, Noon - 4pm

Everedy Teddy and his wife, Ms. Shabby are celebrating bears and children everywhere by throwing a huge party! Guests will be delighted by teddy bears galore and amused by wonderful diversions and activities – all FREE!  Ongoing events taking place throughout the day will include pony rides, moon bounce, make-and-take craft, live music, face painting and balloon sculptures.

Kids and adults should bring their favorite bear to enter into the Teddy Bear Competition. Registration begins at 2:15, with the winners announced at 3:30 on the Everedy Square Plaza. A panel of “bear experts” will determine the best dressed, most loved, most unique, best vintage (over 20 years old), best face and best ethnic/foreign made. Winners will be awarded prizes immediately following the contest and asked to lead the Teddy Bear parade to the reception on Danielle’s patio where cookies and lemonade will be served.

Vintage VW Show and Dog Days of Summer – August 1st First Saturday

Visit historic Everedy Square & Shab Row for another taste of Frederick’s German heritage during the first annual Vintage VW Show. VW’s from the late 1930’s – 1970’s will be on display, along with live music, free trolley rides and refreshments. We are Dog Friendly as we also welcome your pooches during Downtown Frederick’s “Dog Days of Summer” First Saturday event!

Art in August - August 8th, 10am - 5pm

Enjoy 19th century ambiance while visiting with art and craft exhibitors from around the region. Live music and kids activities occurring throughout the day.
